Improve Morris Township’s Quality of Life

Work with neighborhoods and sports leagues to identify needs and make plans

As long time residents and parents, Jeff knowS first hand that Morris Township needs to improve and increase the number of parks and ball fields.

Parks and Ball Fields have been allowed  to decline for too many years, and current facilities  do not meet our needs.

The County Parks, school fields, and   National Park for which we  pay separate taxes, should be supplements to Township recreation resources, not our mainstay.

And Township government must shift land use and  development focus  toward  improvement of quality of  life and  away from addition of ratables. Land must be acquired and used as neighborhood pocket parks, play and picnic areas, athletic fields, noise  and  sight buffers, and public gardens.

Enforce Speed limits more vigorously in residential areas

Un-enforced speed limits in residential areas are a danger to our families and  limits  our outdoor  family activity. It’s often unsafe to walk along the side of the  roads that go through our neighborhoods. Out Township must assess this situation and, where safety is at risk, provide safe walkways, especially to our children’s school yards  and  play places.
