Shared Services Only—NO MERGER

AN URGENT MESSAGE FROM

JEFF GRAYZEL

The Republican candidates for Morris Township Committee have fabricated the Democrats’ position on merged services.  They are attempting to create fear and mistrust among the electorate as a tactic to get elected.  In an issued release Jeff highlighted the deceit fabricated by the Republican candidates in their latest flyer.

Grayzel would never force a merger with Morristown or any other town.  We have never discussed this matter with any elected officials or leaders of either party, and have made no public statements singling out merger with any municipality.  We have not reviewed the benefits or disadvantages and have made no analysis of shared services or a merger.  Whatever has been attributed to us in Republican campaign literature and news statements was invented by our opponents and is incorrect, misleading and untrue.  We are committed to reducing property taxes in Morris Township.

The municipal (non-schools, non-County) portion of Morris Township taxes has increased 52% over the last 5 years. The current Township Committee, including Rosenbush, is 100% responsible for this, because it has had complete “5-0 block vote” control for more than 10 years.

The Township’s Police, Fire and Public Works employees have lost faith in their leadership, the Township Committee.  Unsolicited, these 3 unions reached out to Grayzel to achieve change. The employees, many of whom are Township residents, asked for nothing in return and received nothing in return.

Thanks for your vote ON TUESDAY, FOR CHANGE!
